Richard “Dick” DelMissier | Obituary

May 11, 1931 – January 10, 2024

Richard “Dick” DelMissier, age 92, passed away January 10th, 2024 surrounded by family. Dick lived on Mercer Island for 67 years. Born to Peter and Lucy DelMissier on May 11th,1931 in Seattle, WA. He attended Queen Anne High School and graduated from the University of Washington with a Degree in Engineering.

After serving in the Army, he worked for his family’s company, Acme Iron Works. He went on to own Tri-Way Industries, designing and manufacturing marine furniture.

Dick led a life of hard work and devotion to his family and friends. He enjoyed several hobbies including boating, fishing, and golfing with the Rompers. Most importantly, he loved his family fiercely and took every opportunity he had to show it.

Dick is survived by his loving wife Connie of 65 years, his children, Deanne (RJ) Taylor, Peter DelMissier, Sarah (Steve) Burns, Tony DelMissier and grandchildren, Danielle, Ben, Ashley, Jack, Alex, Annie, Lola, and Tripp. He also leaves behind sisters Lucy Ann Schwartz and Loretta (Frank) Healy, brother-in-law Remo (Sheila) Galvagno and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on January 29th, 2024 at 11 AM at St. Monica Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to Veteran Affairs (VA).
