Eastside FC’s girls U8/9 team recently reached the quarterfinal round of the U10 Presidents Cup tournament, held March 19 through April 24.

The team was promoted into Washington Youth Soccer’s top U9 division, RCL 1, where it took second place. Entering the U10 Presidents Cup, the team advanced out of its group to the quarterfinals, where it fell to Gig Harbor 3-0.

Team members include Kate Yang, Arianna Ortiz de Lazaro, Chloe Yang, Hailey Byers, Emily Dunn, Airah Virani, Gretchen Dornay, Zola Piekarski, Sophia Sung and Sara Kaefer. The team is coached by Aaron Byers and Colin Rigby.
