Mercer Island High School graduate Zachary Evens recently completed the 2016 season with the Guilford College Quakers men’s golf team. Evens, who competed in three of the Quakers four tournaments as a freshman, led Guilford with a 73.88 stroke average through eight rounds of play. Evens recorded a second top-10 finish at the Transylvania Fall Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky with scores of 74, 75, 72 (221), which was good for an eighth place finish. The Quakers return to action in March 2017 at the Callaway Gardens Invitational in Georgia.
