Four Mercer Island wrestlers qualified for the regional wrestling tournament on Feb. 15 at Kelso High School.

The Islanders competed at the 3A KingCo/Wesco South Sub-Regionals on Feb. 7-8 at Juanita High School. As a team, the Islanders finished seventh, the third highest finish amongst KingCo teams. The top five finishers in each weight class at sub-regionals qualified for the regional tournament.

Chris Neal (132, third), Connor Pettigrew (132, fourth), Colin Farrell (182, first) and Owen Baebler (195, first) all qualified for Mercer Island.
