Islander freshman Kristin Trumble competes at the district gymnastics meet on bars. Mercer Island as a team missed the cut for state, but placed fifth during the meet. Trumble, sophomore Vanessa Gaffney and senior captain Erika Reutimann will all compete at state this weekend in the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Center.
