Islanders girls golf team wins Class 3A state title

The Mercer Island girls golf team captured the Class 3A state tournament championship on May 24 at Canyon Lakes Golf Course in Kennewick.

The Islanders scored a total of 82 team points to take the title. The Interlake Saints finished in second place with a total 77 team points. Mercer Island’s Ella Warburg captured 10th place individually, totaling 165 strokes during the two-day tournament. Estey Chen registered a 14th-place finish individually with 172 total strokes. Madelyn Quickstad earned 16th place with 174 strokes.
