Islanders grapplers capture third place at Barry Knott Classic tournament

Photo courtesy of Virl Hill The Mercer Island Islanders wrestling team earned a third place finish at the Barry Knott Classic wrestling tournament on Dec. 16 at Nathan Hale High School in Seattle. Islanders’ wrestlers earning first place were Jonah Andrews (160) and Jordan Tillinger (126). Athletes attaining second place in their respective weight divisions consisted of Eli Pruchno (138) and Connor Hill (195). Liam Farrell (170), Connor Pettigrew (113) and Andrew Motz (132) nabbed third place finishes. Vinny Ricci (152) registered a fifth place finish.
