The Mercer Island boys soccer team earned a KingCo win over Juanita on Tuesday, April 23, beating the Rebels 2-1.

The Mercer Island boys soccer team earned a KingCo win over Juanita on Tuesday, April 23, beating the Rebels 2-1.

Juanita scored an unassisted goal in te 22nd minute to hold a 1-0 lead over Mercer Island until Ryan Hill scored in the 58th minute to tie the match at 1-1.

After halftime, the Islanders battled and finally scored their the winning goal in the 79th minute on an unassisted goal by Matt Hanson.

The Islanders are currently in third place in the KingCo league with a 6-1-4 record. Overall the team is 7-2-4 this season.
