In 3A KingCo tournament boys basketball action, Mercer Island defeated Juanita, 74-47, and lost to Liberty, 58-45, on Feb. 4 and 6, respectively. The Islanders will take on Lake Washington at 5 p.m. Feb. 8 at LW in a third-place, loser-out game.

In girls hoops tourney action, MI beat Bellevue, 78-49, and lost to Lake Washington, 70-45, on Feb. 4 and 6, respectively. MI will play Hazen at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at LW in a third-place, loser-out matchup.

The District 2 tourney will occur Feb. 11-18 at Bellevue College and LW.
