MIHS grad continues key role at Emory | Sports brief

Mercer Island High School graduate and Emory University junior Hannah Lilly is continuing her key role for the women's basketball team, helping the Eagles to an 8-1 start this year. After nine games Emory is ranked No. 18.

Mercer Island High School graduate and Emory University junior Hannah Lilly is continuing her key role for the women’s basketball team, helping the Eagles to an 8-1 start this year. After nine games Emory is ranked No. 18.

Lilly has started in eight games this season and is tied for third in the University Athletic Association with a 15 point per game average. She has also posted 21 three-point field goals and is tied for the top spot in the conference.

Lilly, who graduated from MIHS in 2010, is currently 13th in Emory’s all-time scoring list, with 842 points and has 136 three pointers for the No. 3 all time chart.

Emory, located outside Atlanta, will next play Piedmont College on Dec. 29.
