Northwest Yeshiva wins district, advances to state

Northwest Yeshiva High School boys basketball players celebrate winning the Northwest District 1 1B championship over Mount Vernon Christian, 57-46, on Feb. 19. The Mercer Island squad (15-3-1 overall) qualifies for state and will tip off in the first round against Naselle at 9 a.m. March 2 at Spokane Arena. At regionals, Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian School defeated the locals, 61-60, on Feb. 26 at Bellevue College for state seeding.
