Event organizers at Mercer Island High School are already pulling together teams and fundraising for the annual event that raises awareness and funding for cancer research and prevention. Fans who attend the Mercer Island High School basketball games against Bellevue at MIHS on Jan. 21 are encouraged to wear purple to publicize the event. The relay is set for May 14-15 at Islander Stadium.
