Mercer Islanders report thefts of makeup, credit cards and mail | Police Blotter

The blotter consists of officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in Mercer Island. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Feb. 5

ORDER VIOLATION: A respondent in a protection order contacted the petitioner via email and texts at 8:44 p.m. in the 3600 block of 73rd Ave. SE.

Feb. 8

WARRANT ARREST: Police arrested a subject with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for driving with a suspended license at 3:14 p.m. in the 6000 block of westbound I-90.

PROWLING: A suspect prowled a car in the north QFC parking lot at 6:22 p.m. in the 7800 block of SE 28th St. A duffel bag full of clothing and makeup was taken, for a loss of $1,300.

Feb. 9

WARRANT ARREST: Police arrested a subject with a misdemeanor warrant out of Mercer Island Municipal Court, and booked them into Issaquah Jail at 5:43 p.m.

THEFT: Three credit cards were stolen from a victim’s purse at 6:39 p.m. in the 7800 block of SE 27th St., and subsequently fraudulently used in Bellevue and Issaquah.

Feb. 10

ASSAULT: Officers responded to a disturbance that was determined to be an assault and battery on investigation at 10:26 a.m. in the 2000 block of 80th Ave. SE. The suspect was arrested, processed and booked into Issaquah Jail.

Feb. 11

THEFT: Mail and identity theft, malicious mischief and property damage were reported at 12:46 a.m. in the 2200 block of 60th Ave. SE.

DEATH INVESTIGATION: An MIPD officer and MIFD aid were dispatched to the 7800 block of SE 30th St. at 9:21 a.m. to help a subject, who they declared dead on arrival.
