Mercer Island egg hunts packed on a sunny Saturday

The annual egg hunts in Mercerdale Park were a solid success on a very sunny Saturday afternoon last weekend.

Several hundred children and their parents attended the Lil’ Ones Egg Hunt in the late afternoon. Despite an impromptu start when children mistook instructions for the actual start, the eggs were quickly snatched up, and almost as fast as it began, it was over.

Later in the evening, older kids gathered at the park for the annual Flashlight Egg Hunt, searching for eggs in the long grass in the dark.
