Slate of Mercer Island candidates for Nov. 5 general election is set

Islander Kevin Scheid has joined the race for City Council, filing to run against incumbent Dan Grausz for position 2.

Candidates who filed as of Friday for public office on Mercer Island also include:

Tana Senn, who is running for Pos. 4 on the City Council, unopposed. Benson Wong and Rich Erwin are both vying for City Council Pos. 6.

For the Mercer Island School District Board of Directors, incumbent Dave Myerson is running unopposed for Pos. 2 and incumbent Adair Dingle is also unopposed for Pos. 4.

Islander John Urquhart is running unopposed for the position of King County Sheriff.

Candidate filing closed as of 4:30 p.m., Friday.

Candidates who filed by Friday had until Monday at 4:30 p.m. to withdraw.

The slate of candidates will then become final.
