Four Mercer Island elementary and middle school students placed at the state folkstyle wrestling championships on Feb. 23 at the Tacoma Dome.

Briak Chapman (first in the 45-pound, under-8 division), Alex Chapman (third in the 78-pound, under-12 division), Arabella Chapman (fourth in the 63-pound, under-10 division) and Lincoln Woods (eighth in the 102-pound, under-14 division) all placed at the competition.
