Parking for light rail
Light rail at last! I didn’t believe that it would happen in my lifetime because of the endless delays but it is coming.
It is so exciting, but where is everyone going to park? I live at the very south tip. I can’t walk to the light rail, but I’d love to ride on it. Where can I park? The Park and Ride is full every morning by 7 a.m. The 35 spaces at the old Tully’s is nice, but totally inadequate. There used to be Park and Ride spaces and shuttles from the Presbyterian, Methodist and Congregational churches. Are they still available? Is there a shuttle that runs from these places? There has been no information about any of this.
The merchants in the center are pretty threatening if you over-stay your welcome in their lot. On-street parking is limited to two hours. So where can I park? Don’t tell me about bike racks, I am 90 years old! I have voted for light rail every time since the 1980s and waited for it ever since. Is it possible that I can actually get on?
