Stephanie and Brad Creswell will discuss “MILEAP, Invest Today, Opportunities Tomorrow” at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s meeting on May 5 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center, 8236 SE 24th St.
The main meeting begins at 12:30 p.m.; socializing is from noon to 12:30 p.m. Guests are always welcome and there is no fee to attend. A catered lunch is available for $25, or attendees can bring their own meal.
Mercer Island Launch Educational Advocacy Project (MILEAP) was co-founded by the Creswells and is run by Stephanie. The Creswells gave a description of their upcoming presentation: “What if the biggest barrier between a motivated student and college isn’t ability—but access? We will introduce MILEAP, a Mercer Island community-based nonprofit helping first-generation and financially challenged students achieve the college futures they deserve. We will share how its four pillars drive real results, why this work matters to Mercer Island, and how MILEAP and MI Rotary can partner to expand opportunity. This is about more than college — it’s about unlocking potential in our own community.”
