Celebrating Mercer Island students with Grad Grams

It’s Grad Grams time again.

For the 50th year, Mercer Island families, friends, businesses and community organizations can participate in the Island tradition by purchasing grams and sending them to local students to acknowledge their graduation from fifth, eight and 12th grade.

Each gram is printed on parchment paper, personalized with the sender’s congratulatory message and mailed directly to the graduate’s home, according to the Mercer Island PTA Council webpage. All proceeds from gram sales go to the Mercer Island Community Scholarship Program, which recognizes outstanding Mercer Island High School graduating seniors.

Grams are $8 if purchased by May 15, and $10 if purchased from May 16-June 5. Grams will be delivered after graduation.
