Island Books welcomes author Grainger on July 12

Island Books welcomes author Katy Grainger (“Finding Solid Footing”) to the shop at 4 p.m. on July 12.

According to a press release, “‘Finding Solid Footing’ is a triumph of the human spirit, charting Katy’s grueling recovery from the brink of death to the heights of her remarkable achievements since. From learning not just to walk on prosthetic legs but to run, hike, paddleboard, own a stage, and so much more, she proves that when the familiar ground disappears, you can build an entirely new, unshakeable foundation for your life.”

Grainger will read from her book, answer questions from the audience and sign books after the event. Books will be available for purchase on the day of the event.
