MIHS drill team shines at competition; holiday fundraiser on tap

The Mercer Island High School drill team notched first place in the military category and third place in pom at its initial competition of the season on Dec. 3 at Lake Washington High School. The squad’s next competitions are Jan. 14 at Redmond High School and Feb. 4 at Eastlake High School. Currently, the team is holding a holiday fundraiser for Seattle’s Treehouse, which aids youth in foster care.
