July 1

Fraud: A resident in the 9000 block of East Shorewood Drive reported that someone reset their Washington Department of Licensing account username and password to request a new drivers license be sent to a different address.

Property damage: Someone ignited a firework inside a porta potty that caused $1,300 damages in the 7900 block of Southeast 65th Street.

Lewd act: A suspect was criminally cited for appearing on his balcony fully nude, exposing his genitals, in the 7600 block of Southeast 27th Street. A resident reported the act while they were sunbathing next to a pool and observed the suspect emerging from his sliding door.

Eluding police: In the 4400 block of Island Crest Way, officers attempted to halt a vehicle that made an illegal U-turn across three lanes and sped from the scene. Officers didn’t initiate a pursuit.

July 6

Parrot theft: In the 2700 block of 76th Avenue Southeast, it was reported that someone was believed to have stolen a parrot that a family boarded at a business.

July 7

Theft: A resident in the 4200 block of 90th Avenue Southeast reported that someone stole a letter containing a check from an unsecured, non-locking mailbox. The victim stopped payment on the check.
