Watson will discuss immigration policy changes at April 21 Rotary meeting

Tahmina Watson will discuss “What Businesses Need to Know Now: Navigating Rapid Changes in U.S. Immigration Policy” at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s meeting on April 21 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center, 8236 SE 24th St.

The main meeting begins at 12:30 p.m.; socializing is from noon to 12:30 p.m. Guests are always welcome and there is no fee to attend. A catered lunch is available for $25, or attendees can bring their own meal.

Watson is a nationally recognized immigration attorney, founder of Watson Immigration Law in Seattle and a leading voice on startup and business immigration in the United States.

Her presentation will provide a clear, practical overview of the latest immigration policy changes and what they mean for employers, entrepreneurs and global talent. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to mitigate risk, stay compliant and make informed hiring and expansion decisions in an increasingly complex landscape.

A UK-trained barrister turned U.S. lawyer, Watson has spent more than two decades helping entrepreneurs, investors and companies navigate complex immigration pathways to build and scale their ventures. She is also an author, podcast host and creator of the “Color Your Joy” series, blending her passion for law, storytelling and bird photography to inspire creativity and resilience.
