Free senior community lunch set for May 11/ Briefs

• A Mercer Island Seniors Rising “Chit Chat Chew” free senior community lunch will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 11 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center. Hot dogs, salads, chips, cookies and refreshments will be served.

• A community Pet First Aid class will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on May 16 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center. This free class will be taught by a Mercer Island Police Department police support officer and will cover what to do in an emergency, common pet injuries and toxicities, pet CPR and more.
