July 29

Theft: A resident in the 4600 block of 91st Avenue Southeast was blocked after an iPhone 17 Facebook Marketplace seller received a $750 payment from the resident. The resident sent the money via Cash App and there is limited suspect information via the app.

July 31

Disturbance: In the 6000 block of 77th Avenue Southeast, a homeowner confronted a subject who entered his property and refused to leave. The subject was identified and trespassed from the property.

Aug. 1

Property damage: A resident in the 7300 block of Southeast 38th Street reported that someone damaged their car with a sharp object and caused $1,000 damage. There was no suspect information at that time.

Aug. 2

Warrant arrest: A King County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrested a suspect on a Mercer Island Police Department (MIPD) warrant for third-degree driving while license suspended and the suspect was directly booked into the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) jail in Des Moines. MIPD had no contact with the suspect.

Vehicle theft: Someone stole a motorcycle while it was parked in the 2700 block of 78th Avenue Southeast. There was no suspect information at that time.

Aug. 3

Vehicle prowl: Someone smashed a vehicle window and stole a cordless backpack vacuum at The Mercer apartments in the 7600 block of Sunset Way. There was no suspect information at that time.

Theft: On Wembley Lane, someone stole an outboard motor (worth approximately $1,500) from a boat. There was no video footage or suspect information at that time.

Aug. 4

Theft: Someone stole an outboard motor (worth approximately $5,000) from a resident’s boat in the 5000 block of West Mercer Way. There was no suspect information or video footage at that time.
