Last season: The Islanders won their fourth straight state title last November, after an undefeated season.

Strengths: “Experience and a group dedicated to each other,” said returning coach Johnson.

Focus: “Confidence building and racing strategies,” said the coach.

Captains: Caitlin Cox, Emily Olsen, Alex Seidel, Sabrina Steinhauer.

Game to watch: Newport, the reigning 4A state champs, and Bainbridge Island.
