The Mudville baseball program is beginning the 2012 season for its Mudville Pinnacle NW team with tryouts on Saturday, Aug. 13, at Newport High School. The team is open to all ages in the 18U to 16U divisions.

The Mercer Island Little League Braves recently won the AA division championship. The team, managed by Lew Malakoff, won the tournament on Tuesday, June 14, at the South Mercer Playfields.
