Nation in turmoil
The rich against the poor. A country where we accent our differences than what is similar between us. We all think we are right without looking at the other sides’ point of view. This is human nature, but it does not make it right. Is there really a true right or wrong or is that just something in our mind. In many ways we have we become the England that we liberated ourselves from in the revolutionary war.
Long are the days gone that we saved humanity from Hitler and took the high road to rebuild the countries that were our enemies. That in the mind was the apex of America. We saved the world from a truly evil person and ideas that would have truly harmed us and the world.
Our resources are not unlimited, and our empire is in decline. Our ability to help the world is not what it used to be. How do we deal with our new reality? I agree that we no longer have the ability to help the rest of the world with their problems, but can we operate in a manner that does not hurt other counties. I am not sure what the right answer is, but I believe we need to rethink our role as to the world and rethink how we are hurting our own people and not taking care of our own citizens. Many of the citizens of our country are truly hurting, while the billionaires of our country use our system to oppress and take advantage of the poor in our country.
As a nation our goal should be to help our own people first and find ways to at a minimum not hurt other counties. How do we do that? How do we find the balance to help our own citizens and not hurt the rest of the world in the process? How do we change our system to not allow the richer to become richer at the expense of the poorest among us.
