Fred Auch will discuss “Raising a Senegalese Village out of Poverty” at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s meeting on Feb. 21 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center, 8236 SE 24th St. The main meeting begins at 12:30 pm. Guests are always welcome.

Auch is an angel investor and mentor, philanthropist, board member, civic leader and family man. His first career was in the construction industry, where he started as a carpenter and electrician, and retired as a senior executive of PCL Construction, an international construction company. He has been co-leading an international project with the Bellevue Rotary Club, 16 other Rotary clubs and Rotary International, to bring water and food security to a village in Senegal.
