Fred Auch will discuss Rotary’s successful project in Senegal at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s meeting on June 4 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center, 8236 SE 24th St. The main meeting begins at 12:30 p.m. Guests are always welcome and there is no fee to attend. An optional buffet lunch is available for purchase.
He will give an update on the completion of Rotary’s four-year program to raise the village of Mbossedji out of poverty, doing it in a sustainable manner while being environmentally conscious.
Auch is a start‐up investor, adviser, mentor and board member who works with numerous nonprofit organizations, including Rotary, Yellowstone Forever and United Way. He has served on and chaired the Community Oversight Panel for Sound Transit, and is currently the board vice chair of the Performing Arts Center Eastside. He previously had a long career as an executive with PCL Construction, a large international construction company.
