“From the Met to Broadway” Dinner Gala and Silent Auction is coming to Mercer Island on April 27.

If you can’t get enough of the haunting tunes of Les Miserables, Carmen, La Traviata and other memorable top Broadway tunes, get ready for a gala night out on the town — without leaving Mercer Island.

On April 27, some of the area’s top performers and soloists will be performing musical hits from Lincoln Center and Broadway productions at the fifth annual gala and silent auction, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church of Mercer Island, located at 4545 Island Crest Way.

This year’s special event includes a five-course dinner (including New York strip steaks and a vegetarian option), and in paying homage to New York City, promises to whisk guests away to the “Crossroads of the World” for the lights and sounds of a professional production of theater favorites. And, later, as part of the fun in this audience-interactive production, guests can win the opportunity to join the performers on stage, or a special serenade.

A limited number of  tickets are available for advance purchase for $45. Call (425) 881-3041 for more information and to order tickets by phone. Tickets may be purchased between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. and noon on Friday at 4545 Island Crest Way on Mercer Island. All proceeds benefit the Congregational Church Choir.
