Homegrown Sandwiches opened its eighth location in the old Stopsky’s spot on Jan. 7. Homegrown founders Ben Friedman and Brad Gillis went to Mercer Island High School together. Homegrown is located at 3016 78th Ave S.E. and open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
