Menchie’s, a frozen yogurt store, will open it’s doors on Mercer Island this Saturday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m.

The store, located in the 77 Central Building on S.E. 27th Street, will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

To celebrate the opening, the store will be offering specials for the first week of business.

On Sunday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. customers can get a free plush doll, free color-in T-shirts and free face painting. Monday from 5 to 6 p.m. customers can fill up a cup of frozen yogurt for only $1. Tuesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. kids under 10 will eat for free. On Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. customers can get half off frozen yogurt and Thursday, Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. every cup of yogurt purchased will come with a free dodge ball. Friday from 8 p.m. until close it’s date night, when customers can buy one, get one free.

“Menchie’s provides best-in-class frozen yogurt with a fun, interactive environment including upbeat music, chalkboards for kids to draw on, free giveaways to guests and top notch service,” said Joe Sauvage, a local resident who co-owns Menchie’s 77 Central with his business partner Scott Baklenko along with another Menchie’s store in Magnolia. “With a fun-loving spirit and mission to make every guest smile, we look forward to providing the Mercer Island community with the ultimate frozen yogurt experience.”

Menchie’s offers chalkboards for kids to draw on, and party rooms for birthdays and other events. Menchie’s stores also work with local school for fundraising activities and education incentive programs.

Menchie’s serves an unlimited mix of yogurt and toppings in self-serve stations with more than 100 rotating yogurt flavors and more than 70 rotating toppings.
