After several years of battling in court, condo owners in the former Queen Anne High School building won their case.

The owners of the units sued the developer, Queen Anne HS LLC of Mercer Island, after complaining of damage to the building, including leaking water and other things. The case was decided in King County Superior Court in early October.

King County Superior Court Judge Beth Andrus ordered the Mercer Island company to pay $8.7 million to the condo owners association, along with another $1.7 million in attorney fees and costs.
