Mercer Island Fine Arts Advisory Committee fund to honor Jesse Jaramillo

Many Islanders remember and have learned from Jesse Jaramillo, a teacher at Island Park Elementary who died last summer. In honor of his life working to bring dance and the arts to children on the Island and around the state, an endowment fund has been set up in his name through the Mercer Island Fine Arts Advisory Committee.

The fund will help provide dance education opportunities to Mercer Island students, a lifelong passion of Jaramillo’s.

In addition, endowment fund committee member Leslie Dammeier has designed T-shirts and wristbands that are being sold to benefit the endowment. Both items will be available at the Fine Arts Showcase.

Donations are being accepted and can be sent to FAAC/Jesse, PO Box 138, Mercer Island, Wash., 98040. Learn more at www.mifineartsed.org/jesse-jaramillo.
