A not guilty plea was entered on Wednesday, Oct. 27, for the three Mercer Island teenagers charged with malicious harassment for hate crimes that occurred last month. Jared Kadish and two 17-year-old boys were arrested after evidence linked them with the anti-Semitic graffiti spray-painted at a church and two schools on Mercer Island. Kadish appeared in adult court while the others went to juvenile court. The family of Kadish, who flew home from college in California to surrender himself, has released a statement of apology to the community. More details will be posted as they become available.
