Hello Islanders,

I am researching bowling alleys, both past and present, in the Greater Seattle area.  I’m  hoping to find a picture of the former Mercer Island Bowl. What I know is that the Mercer Island Bowl opened in 1961 and operated until 1979.  It was located at 7645 S.E, 27th St., and is now the location of Farmers Insurance. It had 18 lanes with Brunswick pinsetters.

My best source for pictures, the Puget Sound Archives in Bellevue, was no help in this case.  It had photos of the property both before and after the bowling alley, but not during its operating years.

If anyone can help, I’d be very grateful.
