Organ donation honors loved one

Four years ago, my husband collapsed from a brain aneurysm and never regained consciousness. After he passed, we donated his entire body to help others, and we’ve been able to track over 60 people who have benefitted from his organs, corneas, skin, bone and tissue. What greater way to give my husband’s life even more profound meaning, than to give someone else the gift of life or sight?
My incredible experience with organ donation led me to become involved as a board member for SightLife and a community advocate for the Living Legacy Foundation.
The power of one person is extraordinary. I hope my experience will encourage others to choose to become an organ donor on their driver’s license or register online at donatelifetoday.org.
