Two Mercer Island High School graduates, Denny Chapin and Jason Gamrath, class of 2005, are putting together a documentary film, entitled “GLASS.” It is about Gamrath, Islander artist, as he strives toward a successful career as a glass sculpture artist. They hope to enter it into the Seattle International Film Festival in January 2014.

With 80 percent of footage for the documentary shot, Chapin’s car was broken into and his video equipment was stolen. They have launched a kickstarter campaign, with accompanying videos, to raise funds to replace the equipment so that they can complete the project: www.kickstarter.com/projects/1228589651/glass.
