Zach Sussman and Joleen Schoulte were married at Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica, on June 24, 2012. The bride was attended by Megan Schoulte, and Christine Skow was her maid of honor. The groom was attended by Jason Famularo, and Sam Sussman was his best man.

The groom is the son of Allen Sussman and Melanie Wroe, of Mercer Island, and a 2002 graduate of Mercer Island High School. He is completing the final requirements of a Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Iowa with a focus on pediatric neuropsychology.

The bride is the daughter of Chris and Linda Schoulte of Farmersberg, Iowa. She is a recent graduate of the University of Iowa, currently in a post-doctoral residency in psychology at the Milwaukee VA Hospital.

The couple met at the University of Iowa, where they were both enrolled in the Ph.D. psychology program.

The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica before returning to their respective homes in Iowa City and Milwaukee.

They plan to relocate in September 2013 to someplace where they can finally enjoy their wedding gifts together.
