Clibborn has been in office too long | Letter

On May 12, I sent a registered letter to our Mercer Island state Rep. Judy Clibborn. To date, Clibborn has elected not to respond to my questions.

This an open letter to Mercer Island resident Angela Jordan and Bellevue resident Michael Appleby — who registered to run this fall to replace Clibborn — that Clibborn’s serious indifferent omission is a clear indication a change in our state representation is now in order.

Love them, or hate them, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders at both ends of the political spectrum are where they are today in this bizarre primary season because of the universal distrust by the American people with the politician’s in office.

Why? Lack of trust, no action, self serving, false promises, etc.

The American people have made it clear they are dissatisfied with self-serving politicians who care more about getting re-elected than representing their constituents. Clibborn is a perfect example that it is now time for a change.

This is a completely bipartisan observation that Clibborn has been there too long and could care less about anything, but retaining her seat and chairmanship.

Common sense says there should be a mechanism in place to address concerns her constituents express.
