The Islanders (13-1-1, 11-0-0 in KingCo) will have a chance to close out league play undefeated for the second season in a row when they host Bellevue (5-6-3, 5-4-2) at 8 p.m. Thursday night at Mercer Island High School.

Mercer Island led 2-0 after getting goals from Hunter Bauman in the 20th minute and Daniel Shen four minutes after halftime. Liberty (3-7-4, 2-6-3) stormed back to even things up with goals from Davis Noblat in the 54th minute and Holden Kooiker in the 73rd. Dreyer struck four minutes later to give Mercer Island the win.

Matt LeProwse recorded four saves in goal for the Islanders. Splitting time in the net, Liberty’s Milo Larson had three saves and Austin Surber had six saves for the Patriots.
