Mercer Island’s Islander FC U13 soccer team participates in Issaquah tournament | Sports brief

The Mercer Island Islander FC U13 recently played in the 2013 Issaquah Gunner Invitational tournament.

The team played in the tournament in mid-July, advancing to the championship match. The team faced Issaquah’s Gunner B00-B team in the finals. The match was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and went into overtime. The Gunners won in penalty kicks.

The team is coached by Adam Nowland.
