Jim Horn says on a March 25 Next Door post: “Mercer Island is a fragile treasure with its many parks and spaces,” and Concerned Citizens of Mercer Island Parks agree. That is why we are asking you to sign the Protect our Parks petition to allow voters to decide in November’s election. We need 3,000 signatures by the end of May so it can be placed on the ballot and voted on by Mercer Island residents.

You can find a hard copy of the petition in the Reporter’s March 30 edition. Please read the yellow insert and sign the Protect our Parks petition. Be sure to follow the instructions by signing, then printing your name. Your complete address is necessary, including Mercer Island and the zip code as well as the date you sign. Complete instructions are listed on the back of the yellow sheet. Please mail the signed petition to Concerned Citizens for MI Parks (CCMIP), P.O. Box 1337, Mercer Island WA 98040. Let voters decide.
