The monthly First Friday Art Walk on Mercer Island returns this weekend.

Participating galleries are Clarke & Clarke Art + Artifacts, MIVAL Gallery (Mercer Island Visual Arts League), Barrels Wine Bar, MIVAL at the Chamber of Commerce office and Suzanne Zahr Art & Architecture.

The art walk features refreshments and art at local businesses.

The event will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on First Friday, Oct. 4. New works will be highlighted for preview.

Clarke & Clarke Art + Artifacts October show is “Exploring Perspectives” and features artworks by Chris Baumgartner, Sharon Carr, Jack Durnford, Scott Gibson, Torsten Kaack and jewelry by Danielle Carbone. The gallery also will feature afternoon art noon to 3 p.m. 0n Saturday, Oct. 5.

Barrels Wine Bar has openings later in the month.
