Mercer Island holiday events on tap in December

December will be a festive month on Mercer Island with a host of holiday events.

Here’s a rundown of some of the gatherings on tap:

* Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 at Mercerdale Park. Sponsored by Mercer Island City Lifestyle Magazine, the event will feature live music and dance performances.

* Holiday Makers Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center. The event will feature 80-plus vendors, dance performances, sweet treats, photo booth, coffee and more.

* Menorah Lighting at 5 p.m. on Dec. 14 at Mercerdale Park.

* Community Holiday Party from 6-8:30 p.m. on Dec. 19 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center. The event will feature Santa, lantern making and a hot cocoa walk to the Argosy Christmas Ship.

* Argosy Christmas Ship from 8:30-9 p.m. on Dec. 19 at Luther Burbank Park Beach.
