For angels flying overhead
and hydroplanes that roar
for pirates who are plundering our care,
for relatives who visit
and for family nearby,
most gracious God accept this grateful prayer.
Lord, thank You for this awesome place
we proudly call our home,
for long late nights and brilliant sunny days,
for Alki Beach, Lake Washington,
Torchlight parades and more,
we offer You our heartfelt, humble praise.
For Green Lake and Snoqualmie Falls
for Safeco Field and Dicks,
our hearts are filled with gratitude and pride.
These landmarks that unite us
are a source of happiness
we brag about to friends both far and wide.
May the unity we celebrate
extend throughout the year
as we accept each other warts and all.
May the joy that marks each Seafair
punctuate each day we live.
And to that end on You we boldly call.
