The Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC) has announced a new book club focused on race and allyship.
Starting on July 7, with subsequent dates on the 14th, 21st and 28, participants will be discussing “So You Want to Talk About Race” by Ijeoma Oluo.
The club is open to anyone, and is free. Meetings will be held over Zoom on the four dates from 7-8:15 p.m to “talk about the book, our experiences and how race impacts our and others’ day-to-day lives,” according to the SJCC website.
Participants are not required but are encouraged to make a donation of either $18 or $36 to the SJCC. Those interested have until July 6 to register.
To register, go to the SJCC website.
