The City Council of Mercer Island will host it’s first meeting of August on Monday, Aug. 12.

The meeting, held in Council Chambers, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with a study session on solicitor regulations.

The regular meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The agenda includes a look at the regulation of solicitors on the Island and future directions the city can take. The council will also learn more about the possibility of creating a community performing arts center on the Island.
