Mercer Island student Victoria Gersch is featured in the new CORE Theatrics production of FAME Jr.

CORE Theatrics is an intensive training program in the performing arts for young adults. The program offers classes, individual coaches, workshops and live performances.

FAME Jr. runs Thursday, Feb. 28 through Sunday, March 3 at the Lake Washington High School Performing Arts Center in Kirkland.

The production is set during the final years of the celebrated New York City High School for the Performing Arts. It’s a story of a diverse group of students who commit to four years of artistic and academic work.

FAME Jr. is directed by Leslie Connor with music by Blake Saunders and choreographed by Sheri Lewis.

The Thursday through Saturday shows are set for a 7 p.m. beginning, with Sunday’s show at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $14 for students and seniors and $16 for adults. Group rates are available for groups larger than 10 people. Tickets can be purchased online at www.coretheatrics.com/upcomingshows.htm.
